Pachysandra axillaris
Pachysandra axillaris is an herbaceous perennial that forms a dense mat of lovely foliage. The leaves are a glossy, dark green and may develop yellow tones during winter, particularly in cooler climates. Small and showy, cream and pink coloured flowers are borne above the foliage in summer. It spreads via creeping stems and typically reaches 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide. Pachysandra axillaris is commonly used as a groundcover, planted around the base of larger trees, or grown in a container.
