Blue Pratia

Pratia Country Park Blue is a NZ native that is grown as a hardy ground cover plant. The small leaves on this plant give the appearance of a lush, green carpet. From spring through autumn, masses of small, China-blue coloured, star shaped flowers cover the plant as it grows to 10 cm tall and 40 cm wide. Pratia Country Park is commonly used as a ground cover, an alternative to a grass lawn, or planted between paving stones and the like.

Pratia Country Park Blue is a NZ native that is grown as a hardy ground cover plant. The small leaves on this plant give the appearance of a lush, green carpet. From spring through autumn, masses of small, China-blue coloured, star shaped flowers cover the plant. It typically grows to 10 cm tall and will spread to 40 cm over 2-3 years. Best performance with Country Park Blue is achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This Pratia is tolerant of dry periods and light frost once established. It is commonly used as a ground cover, an alternative to a grass lawn, or planted between paving stones and the like.
