Tetragonia implexicoma, Tetragonia, New Zealand Spinach, Bower Spinach
Tetragonia implexicoma, commonly known as NZ Spinach, is a low-growing, scrambling plant. The small and thick, dark green leaves are borne on slender, interlaced stems and it grows as a mound to about 50 cm tall and 2 m wide. In spring plants produce yellow, strongly scented flowers which result in orange-red berries. Tetragonia implexicoma is a useful ground cover and is great for exposed, coastal sites or where a large, informal ground cover is required.
