It grows as a tidy mound to about 30 cm tall and 1 m wide and performs best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This hardy plant will tolerate a wide range of soil conditions barring the extremes of wet and dry, dry periods, frost, cool climates, wind, and coastal conditions.
