Rosmarinus officinalis Irene is a variety of Rosemary that is grown for its cascading foliage, pretty flowers, and pleasant scent. It features petite, pink flowers which are borne through spring amidst the small, dark green leaves. It grows with a spreading and trailing habit to about 40 cm tall and 1.5 m wide. This variety performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of coastal environments, moderate frost, and dry periods. Rosemary Irene is a hardy plant that is ideal for mass planting either as a groundcover or on a bank, planting around outdoor living areas, or including in a herb garden.
