Selliera radicans is a NZ native, herbaceous perennial that forms a tight mat of bright green leaves. The glossy and fleshy leaves are up to 4 cm long and become adorned with small, white flowers in summer. It typically grows to 15 cm tall and 75 cm wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate a wide range of growing conditions including coastal environments. Selliera radicans is commonly included in borders, used in cottage gardens, planted around the margins of water features, maintained in a container, or planted beside a wall where it can cascade over the edge.
