Agapanthus orientalis, Agapanthus praecox ssp orientalis, Agapanthus praecox subsp orientalis, Agapanthus praecox orientalis
Agapanthus orientalis produces large and showy clusters of light blue flowers on slender stems through spring and summer. The dark green, strap like foliage provides a lovely backdrop to the flowers as it grows to about 80 cm tall and the same wide. Agapanthus orientalis is a versatile plant that can be used as a low maintenance option on drier sites or in situations with poor soil conditions such as clay banks. It is also well suited to using in borders or mixed plantings, mass planting as a groundcover, or including in cottage gardens.
