“Sugar Cheer” is an herbaceous perennial grown for its pretty, daisy-like flowers. It produces masses of double, rose-pink flowers through spring and summer. These are borne above the lush, green foliage. It grows as a dense and rounded bush to about 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of light frost and coastal environments but does need protection while it is establishing. “Sugar Cheer” is commonly used to create splashes of colour in the garden, and is often mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, planted around outdoor living areas, included in borders or mixed plantings, or added to a cottage garden.
