“Brick Red” is a variety of Gazania grown for its abundant and vibrant flowers. It bares large and showy, bright orange flowers continuously through spring and summer. These are held above the lush, dark green leaves. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 20 cm tall and 30 cm wide, performing best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered, frost free site. It is tolerant of dry periods and coastal conditions but should be protected while establishing. This lovely plant is ideal for container planting, including in borders or mixed plantings, or mass planting. In frost prone areas it is often grown as an annual and replaced each year.
