Ligularia tussilaginea Details

Ligularia tussilaginea, commonly known as the Giant Leopard Plant, is an herbaceous perennial grown for its foliage and flowers. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and 1 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It should be protected from frost while establishing, though once established a light frost may defoliate the plant but it will regrow again in spring. Ligularia tussilaginea is often used for border planting, planted beside a water feature, grown in a container, added to a mixed planting, included in a tropical garden, or planted en masse for a stunning display.
