It grows as a clump of green, strap like foliage which becomes adorned with blue-purple flowers through spring and summer. This showy plant typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, and moderate frost.
