Thymus citriodorus Doone Valley is a stunning selection of the commonly known Lemon Thyme and is grown for both its foliage and flowers. The leaves on this evergreen are lemon scented and variegated dark green and yellow. The foliage is complemented with purple flowers through summer which are great for attracting butterflies and the like. It typically grows to 15 cm tall and 40 cm wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. Thymus Doone Valley is commonly included in herb gardens, grown as an annual, added to a mixed planting, or maintained in a container. A mass planting of this Thyme looks spectacular.
