Beaucarnea recurvata, commonly known as the Ponytail Palm, is an attractive, small palm that is often grown as a potted plant. It features a trunk which has a prominent, swollen base and long, narrow, dark green leaves which are often curly. The foliage emerges as a plume, almost like a fountain of water.
