Begonia Marmorata Details

Begonia Marmorata is a tender perennial is grown for its colourful and showy flowers. It grows as a bushy plant with the foliage comprising lush, dark green leaves held on short stems. The foliage becomes adorned with two-tone, red and white flowers through summer. It typically grows to 25 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in a partial shade position that does not dry out but has good drainage and shelter, and is free from frost. Plants may die back during winter but will generally regrow again when conditions warm. It is important that the soil or media remains on the dry side when this occurs so as not to rot the tuber. Begonia Marmorata is commonly grown indoors as a potted plant or in a hanging basket, or planted outdoors in warmer environments in borders or around outdoor living areas.
