Costa Rican Palm, Pacaya
Chamaedorea costaricana, commonly known as the Costa Rican Palm or Pacaya, produces multiple stems that carry short, soft looking, dark green fronds. It will eventually reach 3 m tall and 2 m wide when grown outdoors, or 2 m tall and 75 cm wide when grown indoors. Chamaedorea costaricana is commonly included in tropical gardens, used for screening, planted around outdoor living areas, added to a mixed planting, or grown indoors as a potted plant.
