Commonly known as String of Watermelons, this is a succulent grown for its interesting, ball-like foliage. It produces masses of dark green, ball-like leaves which are held off trailing stems. The stems can reach 70 cm in length. It grows best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained soil. It is tolerant of dry periods but must be protected from frost. String of Watermelons is commonly grown indoors as a potted plant or grown outdoors in sub-tropical climates and allowed to trail over a wall or container.
