Ficus Black Knight is an evergreen shrub, commonly grown as an indoor plant due to its attractive foliage. Ficus Black Knight is an evergreen shrub, commonly grown as an indoor plant due to its attractive foliage. The large and glossy leaves are near black and are held with a somewhat layered appearance off a central stem. Outdoors in tropical climates it can grow to 4 m tall and 3 m wide, but indoors it is generally contained to about 1-1.5 m tall and wide. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. Ficus Black Knight is often used in subtropical gardens, grown around pool or barbecue areas, maintained in a container, or added to a mixed planting. It makes for a fabulous indoor plant to contrast with a light-coloured wall.
