Clonex is the preferred rooting hormone for nurseries across NZ and the world. It is the industry standard for rooting softwood, semi-hardwood, and hardwood cuttings of all types. Its thick gel formulation stays in contact with and around the stem, sealing the cut to prevent air embolisms and wilting. Clonex active ingredient is Indole butyric acid (also known as IBA) which is a plant hormone that is responsible for root initiation and growth. Clonex Green has 1.5 g/L IBA and is used for herbaceous and softwood cuttings. Clonex Purple has 3.0 g/L IBA and is used for semi-hardwood cuttings. Clonex Red has 8.0 g/L IBA and is used for hardwood cuttings.
