Hazelnut Auckland Details

Hazelnut Auckland is a variety of Hazelnut grown for its flavoursome nuts. It produces light yields of medium sized, bronze nuts in summer. It grows as a deciduous tree to about 4 m tall and 3 m wide carrying large, mid green leaves which develop yellow tones before falling. This variety does not require another variety of Hazelnut planted close by to produce nuts. Best performance is achieved when grown on a well-drained site in full sun. It is tolerant of cool climates and frost. Hazelnut Auckland is commonly used for nut production, added into a mixed planting, or grown as a specimen.
