Liriope Franklin Mint Details

Liriope Franklin Mint is grown for its pretty flowers and tidy foliage. This herbaceous perennial grows as a clump and produces arching, strap like, dark green leaves. Short stems carrying masses of tiny, lilac-coloured flowers emerge amidst the foliage in summer. It typically grows to 45 cm tall and the same but will spread to colonise a much larger area over time. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It tolerates cool climates, moderate frost, dry periods, and coastal environments. During winter it may die back in colder regions to regrow in spring when conditions warm, but otherwise it remains evergreen. Liriope Franklin Mint is an excellent choice for adding to a mixed planting, including in a border, or planting around outdoor living areas. This plant is used extensively in landscape and garden project because of its hardiness, versatility, and great appearance year-round.
