Lomandra fluviatilis Shara, commonly known as Shara River Lomandra, is grown for its fine, dark green foliage. The foliage is held with a graceful arch and is adorned with attractive spikes of cream-yellow flowers in spring. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, wind, coastal conditions, extended dry periods, and will grow across a range of soil types, except extreme wet. Lomandra Shara is commonly included in borders, planted around the base of larger plants, added to rock gardens, or mass planted on a bank or the like for an impressive display.
