“Zebrinus” is an ornamental grass grown for its variegated foliage. It grows as a clump of narrow and gently arching, green leaves with soft-yellow rings. Tall spikes of Toi-Toi like flowers are borne in summer which are cream with a pink tone. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 1.2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on pretty much any soil type condition barring extreme wet or dry. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, wind, coastal conditions, and extended dry periods. “Zebrinus” is commonly included in mixed or border plantings, planted around outdoor living areas or water features, used as a backdrop for other plants, or maintained in a container.
