Chamaedorea cataractarum Details

Chamaedorea cataractarum, commonly known as the Cat Palm, Cascade Palm, or Cataract Palm, features lush and attractive foliage. It produces upright stems which carry very aesthetic, dark green fronds. It will eventually reach 2 m tall and the same wide, and performs best when positioned in partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site that does not dry out. It will tolerate a light frost and is therefore more suited to warmer climates or growing indoors. Chamaedorea cataractarum is commonly included in tropical gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or added to a mixed planting. It is also well suited to growing indoors as a potted plant.
