Howea belmoreana, commonly known as the Sentry Palm, is a popular and elegant Palm tree, featuring a narrow, slender trunk carrying feathery and drooping, dark green fronds. The trunk is originally dark green but ages to brown. It is relatively slow growing and eventually reaches 10 m tall and 4 m wide. Howea belmoreana is commonly included in tropical gardens, planted around entranceways, used in avenue plantings, grown as a specimen, or included in a mixed planting.
