Ravenea rivularis, commonly known as the Majestic Palm or Majesty Palm, is favoured by landscape designers. It features bright green, symmetrical fronds that are borne as a crown off a slightly swollen trunk. It typically grows to 5 m tall and 4 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate moderate frost once established as well as extended dry periods. Ravenea rivularis is commonly included in a tropical garden, used in an avenue planting, grown as a specimen, planted around pool areas, or added to a mixed planting.
