Actaea Pink Spike is a variety of the commonly known, Bugbane or Baneberry, and is grown for its impressive flowers and foliage. This herbaceous perennial produces scented, bottlebrush-like, pink flowers on long and slender stems which rise above the foliage from summer through autumn. The foliage comprises lush, dark brown-purple leaves which provides a great complement to the flowers as it grows to 90 cm tall and 60 cm wide. Actaea Pink Spike is commonly used in borders, mixed plantings, grown in a container, used in cottage gardens, or planted around the base of larger trees and shrubs.

Actaea Pink Spike is a variety of the commonly known, Bugbane or Baneberry, and is grown for its impressive flowers and foliage. This herbaceous perennial produces scented, bottlebrush-like, pink flowers on long and slender stems which rise above the foliage from summer through autumn. The foliage comprises lush, dark brown-purple leaves which provides a great contrast to the flowers. It typically grows to 90 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best in full sun on a well-drained site with good summer moisture. It is tolerant of light frost, coastal environments, and partial shade though in this instance leaf colouring will be less intense.
