Agapanthus Baby Pete, commonly known as African Lily or Lily of the Nile, is a compact, herbaceous perennial renowned for its stunning, blue flowers through summer. The flowers are borne on small stems just above the foliage and contrast nicely with the strap like, dark green foliage. It grows to just 25 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of cool climates, moderate frost, dry periods, some wind, and a wide range of soil conditions except extreme wet or dry. Agapanthus Baby Pete is commonly maintained in a container, planted around pavers, included in rock and cottage gardens, or planted around outdoor living areas.
