Agapanthus orientalis Alba, commonly known as African Lily or Lily of the Nile, is a compact, evergreen, clump-forming plant that produces a bounty of stunning white flowers through summer. The flowers are borne on solid stems above the foliage and contrast nicely with the strap like, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and 50 cm wide, growing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. Agapanthus are hardy plants and will grow well on heavier soils.
