The colourful and showy flowers produced from late winter through until late summer are dark-red with purple overtones. They are held above the lush, grey foliage which provides for a great contrast. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 40 cm tall and 1 m wide with a spreading habit, and performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site.
