Argyranthemum Summer Angel
“Summer Angel” is an herbaceous perennial grown for its pretty, daisy-like flowers. It produces masses of single, white flowers with a lemon centre through spring and autumn and sporadically through the rest of the year. These are borne above the lush, dark green foliage. It grows as a dense and rounded bush to about 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of light frost and coastal environments but does need protection while it is establishing. “Summer Angel” is commonly mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, planted around outdoor living areas, included in borders or mixed plantings, or added to a cottage garden.
