Arthropodium candidum purpureum, commonly known as Dwarf Rock Lily, is a clump forming plant with purple-bronze foliage that is soft and drooping. Through spring and summer masses of starry, white flowers are borne as it grows to 20 cm tall and 30 cm wide. The Dwarf Rock Lily is commonly mass planted as a groundcover, included in borders, grown in a container, or included in tropical gardens.

Arthropodium candidum purpureum Details

Arthropodium candidum purpureum, commonly known as Dwarf Rock Lily, is a clump forming plant with purple-bronze foliage that is soft and drooping. Through spring and summer masses of starry, white flowers are borne which are followed by fruits and seeds that attract birds. This plant is found naturally throughout NZ in coastal areas and typically grows to 20 cm tall and 30 cm wide. It is hardy and will tolerate sun or shade conditions as well as dry and exposed conditions though plants are frost tender. The Dwarf Rock Lily is commonly mass planted as a groundcover, included in borders, grown in a container, or included in tropical gardens.
