Astilbe Bressingham Beauty is an herbaceous perennial grown for its impressive foliage and flowers. Astilbe Bressingham Beauty is an herbaceous perennial grown for its impressive foliage and flowers. Sprays of ‘fluffy’, pale pink flowers are produced off upright stems that rise above the foliage during summer. These contrast nicely with the dark green foliage which have an almost fern-like appearance. It grows as a clump to about 75 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when positioned in partial shade or full shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of light frost only. Astilbe Bressingham Beauty is a favourite for shaded areas of the gardens, maintaining in a container, planting alongside walkways, including in mixed plantings, adding to cottage gardens, or mass planting for a great display. It also looks very effective when planted alongside a pond or stream.
