Astilbe Diamant Details

Astilbe Diamant is an herbaceous perennial grown for its impressive foliage and flowers. The flowers comprise an interesting spray of fluffy, white plumes off upright stems during spring and summer. These contrast nicely with the glossy, green, fern-like foliage. It grows as a clump to about 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in a partial shade to full shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of boggy ground, light frost only and should not be allowed to dry out during summer. Astilbe Diamant is a favourite for shaded areas of the gardens, maintaining in a container, planting alongside walkways, including in mixed plantings, adding to cottage gardens, or mass planting for a great display.
