Dicentra spectabilis Alba (aka Lamprocapnos spectabilis Alba), commonly known as the White Bleeding Heart plant, is a bulbous plant grown for its foliage and amazing flowers. The fine foliage is fern-like in appearance and is complemented with nodding, heart-shaped, white flowers. The flowers adorn the plant in late spring and summer, turning a lovely plant into a spectre of beauty. As conditions cool, the foliage develops yellow tones and dies back as it becomes dormant for winter.
