Digitalis purpurea variety of the commonly known, Foxglove, produces a large spike that carries masses of pendulous, bell shaped flowers coloured purple-pink. The spike emerges from a rosette of mid-green leaves in summer as it grows to 70 cm tall and 30 cm wide. Digitalis purpurea is a great plant for cottage and courtyard gardens, mixed plantings, and for under-planting larger trees and shrubs. Please note that all parts of this plant are poisonous.

Digitalis purpurea variety of the commonly known, Foxglove, and is grown for its impressive flowering. It produces a large spike that carries masses of pendulous, bell shaped flowers coloured purple-pink. The spike emerges from a rosette of mid-green leaves in summer as it grows to 70 cm tall and 30 cm wide. Foxgloves grow best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered position and will tolerate light frost.
