Euphorbia glauca is a NZ native herbaceous perennial that features attractive soft, blue-green foliage. It has a creeping habit with new stems arising from below ground roots that result in it typically growing to 1 m tall and eventually 1.5 m wide. It bears small flowers which are surrounded by tiny deep purple bracts in spring and are followed by small, red berries in summer. This Euphorbia grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate dry periods, frost, and coastal conditions.
