Flowers are about 5 cm wide and are made up of the violet-blue petals and a yellow centre. These are produced from summer through autumn and held above the foliage which comprises small, green leaves with a cream margin. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and short periods of dry.
