Gaura Ballerina Rose is an herbaceous perennial that produces masses of small, mid-dark pink flowers above lush foliage. The four-petaled, mildly fragrant flowers are borne on wiry stems from late spring through summer above the narrow, dark green leaves. The flowers appear like butterflies and give a great display in light breezes. It grows as a mound to about 40 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. Gaura Ballerina Rose is commonly included in borders, mixed plantings, cottage gardens, grown in a container, or mass planted. In colder regions it is often treated as an annual and replanted each year. This plant is highly valued for its long flowering and is often used as a cut flower.
