Gaura Emmeline White Details

Gaura Emmeline White, commonly known as Beeblossom, is an herbaceous perennial that produces masses of small, white flowers atop rich foliage. The four-petaled flowers are borne on wiry stems from late spring through summer above the narrow, dark green leaves. The flowers move like butterflies in light breezes and the colour contrast with the foliage is outstanding. It grows as a mound to about 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. Gaura Emmeline White is commonly included in borders and mixed plantings, added to cottage and “white” gardens, maintained in a container, or mass planted. In colder regions it is often treated as an annual and replanted each year. This plant is highly valued for its long flowering and is often used as a cut flower.
