Geranium maderense, commonly known as the Madeira Cranesbill, is an herbaceous perennial grown for its lush foliage and pretty flowers. Showy clusters of two-tone pink flowers are borne as large sprays during summer. They are borne above the lush and fern-like foliage which serves as a fantastic backdrop. It grows as a mound to about 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry and light frost only.
