Hemerocallis Golden Zebra is commonly mass planted as a groundcover, planted around the base of larger trees, included in borders, or added to a mixed planting.

It typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, dry periods, and moderate wind, and may die back during winter but will regrow again in spring.
