Hosta Blazing Saddles is a stunning variety grown for its lush foliage and lovely flowers. The foliage comprises dark green leaves with a wide, cream-white margin. Lavender flowers are borne atop tall stems during summer. This herbaceous perennial will grow to about 50 cm tall and 80 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. Blazing Saddles is commonly used as a ground cover, included in border plantings, grown in a container, planted around the pool or barbecue area, or added to tropical gardens.

Hosta Blazing Saddles Details

Hosta Blazing Saddles is a stunning variety grown for its lush foliage and lovely flowers. The foliage comprises dark green leaves with a wide, cream-white margin. Lavender flowers are borne atop tall stems during summer which are followed by seed heads that are great of attracting birds. This herbaceous perennial will grow to about 50 cm tall and 80 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. In cold climates it may die back during winter but will regrow again in spring. Blazing Saddles is commonly used as a ground cover, included in border plantings, grown in a container, planted around the pool or barbecue area, or added to tropical gardens. A mass planting will give an impressive display.
