Hosta Blue Mammoth is grown for its lush and attractive foliage. The bold and glossy leaves are powdery blue with a chiffon-like texture. The foliage is complemented with lavender coloured flowers through summer. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 1 m tall and 1.6 m wide. It may die back during winter but will regrow again when conditions warm in spring. It grows best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site that does not dry out. It is tolerant of moderate frost but will benefit from being protected while it is establishing.
