“Freedom Bells” is an herbaceous perennial valued for its foliage and flowers. It carries thick, succulent like leaves which are mid green with crimson tones. They are offset by an array of showy, dark red, bell-shaped flowers in spring that hang from the branches. It typically grows to 35 cm tall and 60 cm wide with a somewhat pendulous growth habit. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from frost. This trailing plant is great for hanging baskets, container planting, rock gardens, or planting alongside a path or steps. It also suits bring included in a “tropical” garden or growing indoors as a potted plant.
