Ligularia Rukuhia Beauty is an outstanding herbaceous perennial in NZ gardens. This plant forms a clump of large and rounded, glossy, dark green leaves. Stems rise above the foliage during spring to bear clusters of yellow flowers. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and 30 cm wide, performing best when planted in partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate light frost once established but does require year-round moisture to perform well. During winter if may die back but will regrow again when conditions warm. Ligularia Rukuhia Beauty is often used in border and mixed plantings, planted alongside water features, maintained in a container, included in tropical and pool gardens, or mass planted on a bank or the like for a stunning display.
