Creeping Mazus, Mazus novae zelandiae
Mazus novae-zelandiae is a small, New Zealand native plant. It is a creeping, herbaceous perennial that forms thick patches of mottled green-brown-leaves. It typically grows to only 5 cm tall with a spread of 25 cm. The foliage is adorned during summer and autumn with single, white flowers which are held tightly against the foliage. Mazus novae-zelandiae is an unusual plant that can be grown in a container, used as a groundcover, planted beside water features, or used to under-plant larger plants.
