Neomarica gracilis, commonly known as the Walking Iris, is an herbaceous perennial from Brazil and features impressive foliage and flowers. Through late spring and early summer, it produces tall stems carrying exquisite, Iris-like, flowers that are blue and white. The flowers are complemented by tall, strap-like, dark green foliage which has a graceful arch as it grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Neomarica gracilis is commonly included in cottage gardens, borders, mixed plantings, or mass planted around trees and used in areas where its beauty can be appreciated.
