Through late spring and early summer, it produces tall stems carrying exquisite, Iris-like, flowers that are blue and white. Each flower lasts about a day but they continue to open over several weeks. The flowers are complemented by tall, strap-like, dark green foliage which has a graceful arch. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in a full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site.
