Osteospermum Buttermilk

“Buttermilk” is an herbaceous perennial grown for its mases of show flowers. The large, two-toned yellow flowers with a dark centre are produced through spring and summer. These are complemented with lush, rich green foliage. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is tolerant of short periods of dry and light frost only. “Buttermilk” is commonly included in a border planting, used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, maintained in a container, or mass planted for a stunning display. It makes a dramatic statement when planted alongside a set of steps or above a small retaining wall.
