“White Lightning” is a variety of Osteospermum grown for its lovely flowers. This herbaceous perennial produces masses of large, white flowers with a yellow centre. These are held above the rich green foliage from spring through summer. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. “White Lightning” is commonly included in border plantings, cottage gardens, grown in a container, or mass planted for a stunning display. It makes a dramatic statement when planted alongside a set of steps or atop a small retaining wall.
